Sporting a record of 90-63-2, good enough for first place in the International league, the Montreal Royals advanced to the semifinals of the Governors' Cup in 1958, defeating the Columbus Jets in 7 games. The finals witnessed the Royals meeting the Toronto Maple Leafs, with Montreal taking the series in 5 games. This ball has been signed by the 1958 Governors' Cup champion Montreal Royals. A Spalding International League model, 21 have signed in matching blue ink throughout including HOFers Lasorda, Anderson and Sandy Amoros, along with Collum, Darnell, Davis, Dolan, Drake, Giallombardo, Gray, Harris, Jancse, Koranda, Lennon, Parris, Rabe, Teed, Valdes, manager Bryant and two others. The majority of the signature display well and remain completely bold, with just light wear and minor toning to the ball including a handwritten name. The original Spalding box will accompany, along with an LOA from Classic Auctions.
