Currently patrolling the blueline of the Maple Leafs in Toronto, it was with the Calgary Flames that T.J. Brodie would spend the first 10-years of his National Hockey League career after the franchise selected him in the 4th round of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft at 114th overall. Up for grabs here, is this jersey worn by Brodie while playing for the Flames during the 2018-19 season. Made by Adidas, a band displaying both “Made in Canada” and a size “56” designation appears along the inner collar while the crests of the NHL and Adidas adorn the front and back necklines respectively. Featuring flag patches for the Province of Alberta and Canada residing over the shoulders, the front of the jersey has been decorated with the flaming “C” team crest in both fabric and layered tackle twill. Sporting Brodie’s number “7” in tri-layer tackle twill numerals over the sleeves and verso, “Brodie” is spelt out in red-over-black tackle twill letters across the affixed matching nameplate on the upper back. Showing good game-use, stick marks are seen over the front, lower reverse and both sleeves while additional wear is seen via board burns over both sleeves, fabric backed team repairs on the left sleeve and a blue paint transfer mark on the lower reverse. Showing a Flames team tag pressed over the lower reverse hem on the interior denoting the piece as an “Authentic Game-Worn Jersey” as well as pilling at the lower hem lines and elbows, Brodie’s number “7” and a “2” to denote set 2 have been penned to the fight strap in black marker. Additionally, the jersey has been photo-matched with Getty Image #1132394009 (March 23rd, 2019 vs Vancouver) to the dark board burn on Brodie’s left forearm. A Flames LOA will accompany the piece.
