Current Stanley Cup champions, winning four titles in just five years, the Edmonton Oilers finished the 1988-89 season in third place in the Smythe Division, and lost in the first round of the playoffs to Wayne Gretzky and the Los Angeles Kings. We have an Oilers #34 jersey worn during the 1988-89 season, by Glen Cochrane and/or Mike Ware (Cochrane played in 12 games with the Oilers in 1988-89, while Ware played in just 2 games that season). A Nike label with "L" sizing is affixed to the collar, with the jersey measuring out to roughly a size 52. A Nike logo has been covered over the reverse hem (there is what appears to be glue residue visible on the opposite side), with "1988-89" handwritten in marker beneath the inner collar, with this having bled through the jersey. The fight strap has also been cut. Featuring the classic oil drop team crest, "34" in tackle twill with embroidered detailing has been sewn to the sleeves and verso. The 10th anniversary crest is situated over the right shoulder. There is no nameplate currently, with evidence of a former nameplate. The jersey shows game-use, with a few dark marks over the sleeves. A laminated LOA from the Oilers will accompany.
