This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 9/19/2023
A product of the Sarnia Sting, Barrie Colts and Kingston Frontenacs of the Ontario Hockey League, Eric Himelfarb would be selected 171st overall in 2001 by the Montreal Canadiens and play a total of 214 AHL games with the Grand Rapids Griffins before taking his career to various professional leagues overseas. Presented here, is this Detroit Red Wings jersey issued to Himelfarb for use during the 2006-07 season. A Reebok branded garment, a lone size “54” tag is affixed to the inner collar while a Reebok patch has been sewn over a Koho logo on the reverse neckline. Displaying an NHL shield patch over the reverse hem, the front of the jersey is decorated with Detroit’s famed winged wheel crest that features embroidered details while the sleeves and verso have had Himelfarb’s number “42” sewn to them in single layer white twill numerals. With “Himelfarb” spelt out in matching style white twill letters across the top of the back, a Red Wings team tag denoting the jersey as a “2006-2007 1st Set” offering is sewn inside the reverse hem. Issued but never worn, the jersey shows no signs of game-wear and remains in excellent condition despite some light stains along the hem while being accompanied by a Red Wings team COA and the original HockeyTown team store price tag.
