A product of the London Knights in the Ontario Hockey League who was drafted 49th overall by the New York Rangers in 1989, Louis DeBrusk would never suit up for the club, instead being traded to the Edmonton Oilers on October 4th, 1991 in the deal that sent Mark Messier to Manhattan. Racking up 1161 PIM during his 401 game NHL career and originally part of the Michael Wexler collection that was purchased from the team archives in 1997, we offer this Edmonton Oilers jersey worn by Debrusk during the 1991-92 season. Made by CCM, both Maska Air-Knit and size "54" labels are affixed to the inner collar while the logos of CCM and the NHL shield have been embroidered into the reverse hem. Decorated over the front with an Oilers team crest in layered tackle twill, the NHL's 75th anniversary patch, worn by all the league's teams throughout the entirety of the season, has been added over the right breast. Accented over the sleeves and verso with Debrusk's number "29" in tri-layer stacked tackle twill numerals, "Debrusk" is spelt out in single layer white twill letters across the affixed matching nameplate at the top of the back. Retaining it's fight strap on the interior that has had a MeiGray hologram numbered "105289" affixed, the jersey exhibits just light game-wear in the form light stick marks over the front and both sleeves with a board burn also present over both sleeves as well, the reverse neckline seam has been repaired and/or reinforced. WIth light pilling/fraying around the elbow reinforcements on the interior, the jersey comes accompanied by an Oilers LOA as well as a MeiGray COR with a hologram matching the one that has been added to the fight strap.
