An especially physical right winger, known as an enforcer throughout his career, Colton Orr spent parts of his first two NHL seasons in Boston before additional time with the Rangers and Toronto. From his rookie season with Boston where he saw action in just 20 games at the beginning of the season before being claimed by the Rangers off waivers, we have a photo-matched Bruins jersey worn by Orr in 2005-06. A label with “58” sizing is affixed to the collar, with NHL and Reebok crests on the reverse hem and back neckline respectively. Styled with the classic Bruins team crest, “75” is sewn to the sleeves and verso in layered tackle twill, with matching alternate crests over each shoulder. Sporting light game-use, there are just a few dark marks to the sleeves. Additionally, the jersey mistakenly had an "8" added to the right sleeve instead of a "7", with this rectified, with the outline still visible. Getty Image #55728842 (Sept 11, 2005) has been matched to the distinct threading qualities within the team crest including the extended black threading near the top left of the "B", and the black thread bump visible over the white part of the crest on the upper left. The image is also matched to particularities of the "5" of "75" on the right sleeve, including small black thread bump at the top of the bottom left section of the "5" of "15". A MeiGray patch numbered “C1305” is affixed to the inside hem near a "2005-06" year swatch, and according to the MeiGray Population report, the jersey is a "Black Set 1" specimen. A matching Bruins/MeiGray LOA will accompany.
