Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Spring 2023
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 5/3/2023
Arguably the shortest player to ever grace an NHL crease and carrying the moniker “Shrimp” due to his diminutive stature, Roy Worters tended the nets of the Pittsburgh Pirates and New York Americans during his noteworthy career, with a single contest played for the mighty Montreal Canadiens, in 1929-30. This lot offers an especially desirable Roy Worters signature cut custom card from the renowned Broderick Collection, encapsulated as “Authentic Auto” by PSA/DNA. Featuring an attractive image of Worters in his Americans uniform, the blue ink cut has been inserted beneath, and appears to originate from some kind of document, with the signature placed on a dotted line. Worters passed away at just 57 years-of-age in 1957.
