Twice representing Canada at the IIHF World Junior Hockey Championships in 2013 and 2014, Jake Paterson has suited up for numerous minor league teams throughout his career after being drafted 80th overall in 2012 by the Detroit Red Wings. Offered here, is this Red Wings jersey issued to Paterson for use during the 2016-17 season. Made by Reebok, both “Goalie Style” and size “58” labels are affixed to the inner collar while NHL shield and Reebok logo patches reside over the front and reverse necklines respectively. Decorated over the front with Detroit’s familiar winged wheel team crest that sports embroidered details, the memorial patch for Mr. Hockey, Gordie Howe has been added over the left breast. Having had Paterson’s number “36” sewn to the sleeves and verso in single layer twill numbers, “Paterson” is spelt out in single layer red twill letters arched across the top of the back. Issued but never worn, the jersey remains in beautiful condition with no flaws to report whatsoever aside from a couple small light spot stains behind the right shoulder and left side collar. Featuring a Red Wings team tag that denotes the jersey as a “2016-2017 Authentic Game Jersey 1st Set” specimen sewn to the inner right hip, a Red Wings team inventory barcode and a Joe Louis Arena farewell season logo are observed heat pressed above along with the number “68423” which corresponds to the accompanying HockeyTown COA.
