Winning a Calder Cup with Detroit’s AHL affiliate, the Grand Rapids Griffins, in 2017, Tomas Nosek has gone on to suit up in the NHL for Detroit, Vegas and Boston after going undrafted and coming to North America from his native Czech Republic. Presented here, is this Red Wings jersey worn by Nosek during the 2016-17 season. Made by Reebok, a single size “56” tag is affixed to the inner collar while logo patches of both the NHL shield and Reebok adorn the front and reverse necklines respectively. Having been decorated over the front with a Red Wings team crest that features embroidered details, the memorial patches for Gordie Howe and Red Wings owner, Mike Ilitch, are present over the left breast and left shoulder while the NHL’s centennial season crest has been added to the right sleeve. Accented over the sleeves and verso with Nosek’s number “83” in single layer tackle twill numerals, “Nosek” is spelt out in single layer red twill letters arches across the top of the back. Suiting up in a total of eleven (11) games towards the end of the regular season, the jersey exhibits game-wear via a stick mark and unrepaired hole over the lower front with board burns over both sleeves as well including one under the let sleeve numbers that has resulted in another small unrepaired hole. Displaying pilling at the elbows on the interior, a Red Wings team tag that denotes the jersey as a “2016-2017 Authentic Game Jersey 1st Set” specimen sewn to the inner right hip while a Red Wings team inventory barcode and a Joe Louis Arena farewell season logo are observed heat pressed above along with the number “68451” which corresponds to the accompanying HockeyTown COA.
