Born in Scotland and raised in Cobourg, Ontario, defenseman Steve Smith was drafted by Edmonton and won a trio of Stanley Cup championships with the Oilers, and represented our nation at the 1991 Canada Cup. From his time in Calgary, this photo-matched Flames captain's Third jersey was worn by Smith in 1999-2000. Pro Player labeling with “58” sizing is affixed to the collar, with embroidered NHL and Pro Player labels on the reverse hem. Styled with the Flames team crest in layered tackle twill, “55” appears over the sleeves and verso in matching material along with the NHL 2000 crest sewn to the right breast. Game use includes just a few marks and burns to the front and sleeves. Getty Image #1285385832 (Oct 30, 1999) has been matched to the dark stick mark on the Flames crest on the right shoulder. The team patch is screened to the inside hem, with an LOA from the Flames to accompany.
