Producing hockey cards from the 1951-52 season until the 1963-64 campaign, Parkhurst’s run of hockey releases included many of the games’ greats rookie cards including those of Gordie Howe and Maurice Richard in the company’s inaugural release in 1951. Offered here, and sure to intrigue all vintage enthusiasts, is this lot of six (6) Parkhurst cards spanning their entire run of hockey releases with most of the included cards having been graded. Led by a 1953-54 specimen of Eric Nesterenko and a 1954-55 card serving as the rookie for HOF goaltender Johnny Bower, both have been graded by BVG with the Nesterenko earning a NEAR MINT 7 and Bower a G-VG 2.5. Continuing on, noteworthy high-grade examples of Gilles Tremblay’s 1962-63 card and Bob Pulford’s 1963-64 offering have both garnered results to the tune of PSA NM-MT 8’s after inspection by the company’s graders. The last two cards feature a 1961-62 copy of Terry Sawchuk’s offering that displays an ACA VGE+ 4.5 and a raw ungraded 1951-52 card of Milt Schmidt, his rookie card, that Is found to be in the condition range of VG-EX to EX in our opinions. A small but wonderful grouping, all the holders remain in good condition with light scratches/scuffs worth noting.
