Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Spring 2023
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 5/2/2023
Hailing from years in which the Boston Bruins and Montreal Canadiens added Stanley Cup banners to the rafters of the Boston Garden and Montreal Forum respectively, up on the block here is this collection of twelve (12) 1969-70 and 1970-71 O-Pee-Chee and Topps hockey cards, with most being rookies, that have all been graded by either PSA or SGC. Led by a quartet that displays names such as Serge Savard (1969-70 OPC Conn Smyth Trophy – PSA NM-MT 8), Brad Park (1970-71 OPC RC – PSA VG-EX+ 4.5), Lou Nanne (1969-70 OPC – PSA MINT 9) and Bryan Hextall (1969-70 OPC – PSA MINT 9), other cards present include a PSA MINT 9 of Tom Webster’s 1970-71 OPC release, NM-MT 8’s of Dale Talon (PSA – 1970-71 OPC), Ricky Ley (PSA – 1969-70 OPC), Jim Dorey (PSA – 1969-70 OPC), Jude Drouin (PSA – 1970-71 OPC) and Bob Pulford (PSA and SGC – 1970-71 OPC and Topps). The last graded card included is that of a 1969-70 Topps picturing Jacques Laperriere that has been deemed worthy of a PSA NM+ 7.5 designation while the collections final card is an additional 1970-71 O-Pee-Chee RC of Brad Park in raw ungraded form that falls into the condition range of VG-EX to EX in our opinions. A wonderful grouping, all the holders remain in excellent condition with just light scratches and scuffs worth noting.
