Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Spring 2023
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 5/2/2023
Always a hot ticket for fans both at home and on the road, the Boston Bruins have won a total of six (6) Stanley Cups in their nearly 100-year history as a National Hockey League franchise, with numerous players who played the best years of their career in the B’s black and gold being inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame after retirement. Up for grabs here, is this group of five (5) Beckett graded Upper Deck Young Guns hockey cards including Tyler Seguin, Charlie McAvoy, Jake DeBrusk and Tuukka Rask. Led by the three cards that have been deemed worthy of Beckett’s PRISTINE 10 mark, those that display the coveted grade include the examples of Seguin’s 2010-11 UD Series Two Young Guns (Centering 9.5, Corners 10, Edges 10 and Surface 10) and the 2017-18 UD Series One Canvas Young Guns of McAvoy and DeBrusk (Centering 9.5, Corners 10, Edges 10 and Surface 10 and Centering 10, Corners 9.5, Edges 10 and Surface 10). The final two cards include McAvoy’s regular release 2017-18 UD Series One Young Guns that has earned a mark of GEM MINT 9.5 with subgrades of Centering 9.5, Corners 9.5, Edges 9 and Surface 9.5 as well as Tuukka Rask’s 2007-08 UD Series Two Young Guns that shows the same GEM MINT 9.5 designation with subgrades of Centering 10, Corners 9, Edges 9.5 and Surface 9.5. An excellent grouping of some of the best to play for the “Big Bad Bruins” in recent memory, all the holders remain in excellent condition with just light scratches/scuffs to note while a small chip is seen at the top edge of the McAvoy Canvas YG offerings holder.
