Involved in a blockbuster trade after his first season with Dallas that included Tyler Seguin, Reilly Smith spent two seasons with Florida after his time in Boston, where he would put up 87 points in 162 games played in the Sunshine State. Offered here, is this jersey worn by Smith during his second season with the Panthers in 2016-17. Made by Reebok, a size “54” tag graces the interior collar while the NHL and Reebok crests are in position over the front and reverse necklines respectively. Decorated over the front with the Panthers team crest that features embroidered details, the NHL’s centennial season patch is in place over the right sleeve while matching alternate logo patches reside over both shoulders. Smith’s number “18” has been sewn to the sleeves and verso in dual-layer tackle twill numerals with “Smith” spelt out across the affixed matching nameplate in single layer navy twill letters. Riddled with game-use, stick marks, board burns, board paint transfers, small unrepaired holes and extensive team repairs are observed over each sleeve while additional stick marks and paint transfers are present on the reverse. A Panthers team tag has been sewn inside the rear hem with the fight strap marked with “16-17 Set 1” in black marker. Accompanied by a Panthers COA with a Fanatics Authentics hologram affixed, an additional one has been placed on the underside of the fight strap as well. Additionally, the jersey is photo-matched with Getty Image #636312072 (December 15th, 2016 vs Winnipeg) to the red board burn at the left shoulder and some of the repairs at the cuffs.
