A nice hoard of National Hockey League biscuits dating from the late-1970s to the early-1990s is offered here, with the group coming in at a total of 36. Featuring examples produced by Viceroy, InGlasCo and Trench, the oldest specimen included is a 1977-79 Philadelphia Flyers screened logo puck made by Viceroy that shows numerous small cuts over both faces along with chipping to the edges and light wear to the logos on either side. Moving into the decade of the 1980’s pucks of the “Viceroy – InGlasCo Approved” variety are present totalling 10 with the teams featuring being that of Edmonton, Washington, Quebec, Pittsburgh (x2), Colorado, Philadelphia, Detroit and the New York Islanders. All produced on V3 slugs, the exception are the examples for the Islanders and one of the Philadelphia pucks, which are found on V4 examples. InGlasCo non-approved examples pucks produced between 1985 and 1992 are included in the collection as well and total 13 with included examples being those of Washington (x2), Montreal (x3), St. Louis, Detroit, Boston, Minnesota, Vancouver, Hartford (x2) and Los Angeles while the last group of pucks making up part of the collection are of the 1985-90 General Tire variety including examples of the 1991 All-Star Game (x3), Red Wings (x4), Devils and Flames. The last puck worth noting is that of a 1991-92 InGlasCo NHL 75th Anniversary example. Most of the pucks show some form of light to moderate surface wear with some showing wear to the screened-on logos of varying degrees. Additionally, most of the pucks that make up the offered collection are free of large gouges and cuts though a few do exhibits small cuts, scuffs and chunks missing but nothing big enough to be considered “large”.
