Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Spring 2023
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 5/2/2023
One of the most popular sets of those that were released by Parkhurst during hockey’s Original Six golden era, the company’s third release is profiled here via this lot of five (5) cards hailing from the 1953-54 season. All graded by either PSA or KSA and all picturing players of the mighty Montreal Canadiens, the collection is paced by a trio that includes the examples of #28 Dickie Moore (KSA ENM 6), #29 of Bernie “Boom Boom” Geoffrion (PSA EX 5) and #30 of Elmer Lach/Maurice Richard (KSA ENM+ 6.5). The last two cards of the group include those of #25 Gerry McNeil and #32 of Butch Bouchard that have earned designations of ENM+ 6.5 and ENM 6 from KSA respectively after inspection. All pleasing mid-grade specimens that are housed comfortably in their holders which remain in excellent condition with just light scratches and scuffs being observed, don’t allow yourself to miss out on this grouping of vintage Parkies goodies!
Of note, please be aware that the grading standards followed by ACA may not correspond to those currently employed by PSA, BGS or SGC. The outcome of an attempted cross-over of this piece through any of those services, then, would be uncertain and cannot be guaranteed.
