First representing Canada internationally at the 1983 World Junior Tournament, Mario Lemieux has donned the sacred maple leaf on numerous occasions, winning gold at the Canada Cup, World Championships and Winter Olympics. From the gold medal winning 2002 Winter Olympics is this Mario Lemieux signed Team Canada captain’s jersey. A pro on-ice jersey made by Nike, size “56” labeling is affixed to the inner collar while the front is styled with Hockey Canada’s familiar crest, partially embroidered, in tackle twill with the captain’s “C” over the left breast. Lemieux’s “66” is stitched to the sleeves and verso in dual-layer tackle twill with “Lemieux” spelt out in single layer white letters across an affixed twill nameplate. Patches of the vintage Hockey Canada logo reside over the shoulders. Lemieux has signed the second back number “6” with a blue ink signature that displays beautifully with no flaws. A JSA sticker numbered “XX73032” is affixed to the same number as the signature and is accompanied by a matching LOA.
