Currently the only Major League Baseball team to call Canada home, the Toronto Blue Jays have owned a place in the American League since 1977 and lay claim to having won two World Series championships over the course of their history, coming in back-to-back years of 1992 and 1993. Up on the block here, and sure to spark Blue Jays memories of yesteryear, is this massive Toronto Blue Jays memorabilia, publication, books and newspaper collection. Headlined by a complete run of programs from games at Toronto’s Exhibition Stadium that date between 1977 and 1981, 84 different editions are included and remain complete with it appearing that about half have been scored. Mostly in good condition, the books mostly show light-to-moderate handling wear with some also sporting creases, toning, small tears, pen marks, spine wear, stains and surface wear worth noting including the 1977 first game in franchise history program that shows pen notations on the front cover. Next, a complete run of 1977 to 1988 media guides is also included, largely presenting in the same condition as the programs with the same wear and flaws being seen while a couple have had a couple of the internal pages come loose but are still present and accounted for. Additionally, guides from 1991, 1993, 1994, 1996, 1997, 1999 and 2001 are included as are the post season guide books from 1985, 1989, 1991, 1992 and 1993, once again showing varying degrees of handling wear and the flaws noted above. Also featuring a 1977 Blue Jays inaugural season CCM hockey stick that features the stamped signatures of that first-year squad, the stick measures 55” in height and shows light marks/wear from age while remaining crack/break free and shows an intact striping accent sticker at the bottom of the shaft. Lastly, newspapers from the Jays World Series championships make up the majority of the remaining items in the collection with some issues also included for moments like the last game at Exhibition Stadium and move to the SkyDome and from when the Jays clinched the American League East in 1985, 1989, 1991, 1992 and 1993 with all but the 1993 issue being accompanied by a ticket stub from the clinching game with the 1989 paper also sporting the autograph of Tom Henke on the cover. Mostly all in good condition with handling wear present, other issues include toning, light tears, creases/folds and some pen marks/notations. The last few items include programs from the first game at SkyDome, last game at Exhibition Stadium, various books and a plaque commemorating the 1992 World Series championship. A great collection for any Blue Jays enthusiast!
