This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 5/2/2023
Sure to pique the interest of all collectors of coveted first year cardboard is this lot containing the examples from four of the greatest players to have ever suited up in the National Hockey League. Combining to win a total of ten (10) Stanley Cup championships over their respective careers and with all four of the included cards having been graded by KSA, the group leads off with the 1978-79 O-Pee-Chee rookie card of Mike Bossy that has earned a high-grade mark of NMM 8 after its inspection and is followed by Ray Bourque’s rookie from OPC’s 1980-81 release with it also keeping up the high-grade party, deemed worthy of a MINT 9. The last two cards of the group are those of Steve Yzerman and Jaromir Jagr from 1984-85 OPC and 1990-91 OPC Premier respective that have both garnered grades of NMM+ 8.5. All displaying pleasing centering, sharp corners, clean edges and surfaces that show vivid colours, all the KSA holders remain in excellent condition and show just light scratches and scuffs that are worth noting, the heaviest being a pair of scuffs over the front of the holder housing Ray Bourque.
Of note, please be aware that the grading standards followed by ACA may not correspond to those currently employed by PSA, BGS or SGC. The outcome of an attempted cross-over of this piece through any of those services, then, would be uncertain and cannot be guaranteed.
