Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Spring 2023

The first Grey Cup champion team from Hamilton, the Alerts were formed in 1911 and played in the Ontario Rugby Football Union. After being suspended by the ORFU, the team played the Toronto Argonauts in the 1912 Grey Cup game and won the match 11-4 at Hamilton's "AAA" stadium. This original framed panoramic photo features the 1912 Grey Cup champion Alerts - with the image appearing to be taken on the actual day of the Grey Cup! With an image area of approx 7" x 17", the full team is lined up, with "HAAA" noticeable in the background above the scoreboard that has "Alerts" and "Argos". The photo is flawless and affixed to a slightly larger mount, framed to full dimensions of approx 12" x 22" (there is some wear to the frame). This is the earliest Grey Cup team photo we have ever offered!
While all of our frames are thoroughly and safely packaged for shipping, due to the size and/or weight, and dependent upon the shipping company, we should mention that damage may occur in transit. Please note that as such, we are not responsible for damage to frames that occurs during shipping.
