Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Winter 2023
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/28/2023
Always popular with collectors, we have a pair of 1910s/20s Spalding baseball jerseys - one with the matching uniform pants, along with a 1920s Deacon Sports Wear "K" jersey (most likely Kinsman). First, there is a circa 1915 Spalding jersey with pants in green pinstripes (possibly military), with each having a Spalding cloth label affixed as well as the original mother of pearl buttons, with just a 2 1/2" x 2 1/2" material repair over the lower front of the jersey. Next, there is a late-1920s possibly early-1930s Spalding heavy wool jersey in solid grey with red trim. The Spalding label is affixed to the collar, with all the buttons intact, with "PCH" in red felt letters to the left breast. Aside from two tiny stains by the collar, the jersey survives in beautiful condition. Lastly, we have a 1920s blue collar and cuffs jersey with "Deacon Sports Wear" label and a second label with individuals name, with a felt "K" logo over the left breast and evidence of patches removed from the right side. The jersey shows good use. From the Brent Sobie antique hockey and baseball collection.
