Sure to provide our winning bidder tons of material to sort through, up for grabs here in this lot is this collection of 1970's and 1980s O-Pee-Chee and Topps baseball cards totaling 1300+ plus modern baseball cards numbering 1700+. Mostly in low-to-mid-grade condition, the oldest examples present in the set are found in the form of forty-nine hand cut 1962 Post Cereal cards featuring names of stars such as Frank Robinson, Gil Hodges, Juan Marichal, Eddie Mathews, Hank Aaron and Ernie Banks. The cards hailing from the 1970s are well represented within the lot, totaling 400+ across both Topps and O-Pee-Chee assembly’s with the 1979 OPC set the most populated, accounting for 150 total cards from the seven different sets represented from the decade and including the Ozzie Smith rookie card, other names present include Rose, Tiant, Bench, Murray, Palmer, Seaver, Sutter (x2) and Brett. Other groovy 1970s notables include ’74 OPC – Steve Rogers RC, ’76 OPC – Bench, Fingers and Palmer, ’77 OPC - Munson, Ryan, Brett and Rose, ’78 OPC – Fisk, Carlton, Fingers and Rice, ’76 Topps – Blyleven, Morgan and finally, ’77 Topps – Ryan/Seaver Strikeout Leaders, Ryan Record Breaker. For the 1980s, the 1980, 1981, 1982 and 1989 seasons are represented via O-Pee-Chee’s yearly releases. For the 1980’s, key names include; Sutter, Fisk, Stieb, Bench, Lynn, Carlton, Rice, Piniella, Winfield, Dawson, Yount, Schmidt, McCovey, Smith, Molitor, Brett, Seaver, Rose, Ryan and Jackson. 120 doubles of the 1980 specimens are also included with the group. For the ‘81’s, only 12 cards are missing while a total of 68 doubles are accounted for. The 1982’s include 139 total cards with key names observed such as Nolan Ryan, Dave Winfield, Carlton Fisk, Geroge Brett and many other stars of the era. Closing out the 80’s, 1989 OPC’s total 49 cards with names present such as Tony Gwynn, Harold Baines and Bo Jackson among others. The 1990’s are represented by a near complete set of 1990 Upper Deck that is missing only 50 cards and includes 470 total doubles with other set representation found though examples from ’90 Topps, 90’ Donruss, ’91 Upper Deck and others that are just a few cards each. Other neat items paired with the lot include a sealed 1990 Score hockey factory set as well as various low-grade WHA cards from 1975-76, 1976-77 and 1977-78 with key names present such as Jacques Plante, Mark Howe, Bobby Hull, Frank Mahovlich and Gordie Howe with other odds and ends items also included.
