“Le Demon Blond”, Guy Lafleur would lead the Montreal Canadiens to a total of five (5) Stanley Cups during a decade of dominance in the 1970s and become the first player in NHL history to score 50 goals in six consecutive seasons as well as 50 goals and 100 points in six consecutive seasons. Up on the block here, is this collection of cards featuring “The Flower” from throughout his career. Led by a total of three (3) 1972-73 O-Pee-Chee examples, including two that are found in the range of EX to EX-MT condition, the other shows closer to VG-EX and displaying with corner wear. A 1973-74 card of a young Lafleur is found to be around VG-EX to EX due to light surface wear at the top right while a 1975-76 Topps offering is in the vicinity of EX-MT to NM. A pair of 1977-78 cards, both from O-Pee-Chee, includes one around EX-MT that has a light wax staining on the surface and one that is around EX condition with a small dent at the top border along with corner wear. To finish out the 1970s, two 1978-79 cards are included, ranging from EX to EX-MT condition while a 1979-80 offering continues to display in the vicinity of EX-MT to NM even after all these years. The bulk of the collection includes both O-Pee-Chee and Topps examples from the entirety of the 1980s as well as some early-1990s examples when Guy was a member of the Rangers and Nordiques with the majority in the range or EX to EX-MT condition or better.
