Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Spring 2023
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 5/2/2023
A three-time NHL All-Star with the Lady Byng Memorial Trophy won in 2000, Pavol Demitra dressed for four different NHL clubs before passing in the ill-fated 2011 Yakovlev Yak-42 passenger jet crash that killed the members of Lokomotiv Yaroslavl. From his time in St Louis, we have a Blues jersey worn in 2000-01, photo-matched to the Conference Finals vs Colorado. A CCM label with an affixed "54” size tag rests along the collar, with NHL and CCM crests over the bottom hem and reverse necklines respectively. Styled with the classic blue note team crest administered in layered tackle twill, “38” is sewn to the sleeves and verso in matching material, with “Demitra” across the affixed nameplate in royal blue twill. There is also a crest from Custom Crafted to the inside hem near "Playoff Set 2000-01". The jersey shows thorough game-use with a number of stick and pucks marks present along with burn marks to each lower sleeve. There are also a few small stains to the upper right sleeve. Getty Image #585533 (May 16, 2001) has been matched to the two straight dark marks just beneath the team crest on the left side. A COA from the Blues will accompany.
