Described on the back of the card as “continuing to keep you as close as you can get!” cards containing pieces of memorabilia worn or used by players past and present keep garnering immense fanfare from collectors looking to add just a small piece of history to their collections. Up on the block here, is this collection of seven (7) memorabilia cards showcasing Wayne Gretzky as well as Mario Lemieux and Joe Sakic and sporting swatches of jersey worn by each player embedded into their respective Upper Deck and Bee Hive offerings ranging from the years of 2000-01 to 2005-06. Headlined by a 2000-01 Upper Deck 500 Goal Club card picturing Wayne Gretzky in an LA Kings uniform that has been graded a NM-MT+ 8.5 by Beckett, subgrades of Centering 9.5, Corners 8, Edges 8.5 and Surface 9 also appear on the label while a piece of black jersey, once worn by Wayne, appears over the front of the card. An additional graded specimen is included, a 2001-02 Upper Deck Vintage Next In Line card that has earned another NM-MT+ 8.5 with subgrades of Centering 8.5, Corners 8.5, Edges 9 and Surface 9.5. Serial numbered “13/50” and picturing Gretzky and Joe Sakic on the front, pieces of jersey individually worn by both men are found over the front. Both Beckett holders remain in good condition with light scratches seen over each side. The final two cards, include a 2005-06 Bee Hive Matted Materials of Gretzky with a black jersey swatch as well as a 2001-02 SP Game-Used Authentic Fabric dual jersey card of “The Great One” and “Mario the Magnificent”, sporting white and yellow swatches respectively and serial numbered “012/100”. Both non graded cards remain in excellent condition with just the lightest touches of wear to the corners and edges observed.
