The only player in the history of the National Hockey League to surpass the 2000-point plateau, “The Great One” did far greater by also becoming the only player to register 2500 points for their career on April 17th, 1995 by assisting on a Rob Blake goal in a 5-2 defeat at the hands of the Calgary Flames. Offered here, is this oversized card commemorating the moment from Upper Deck’s 1994-95 SP release. In simmering gold with “2500 NHL Career Points” at the bottom with Wayne pictured in the middle, the card is serial numbered “00146/5000” on the reverse. the real appeal is observed over the front of the piece as Gretzky has signed over his image with a crisp deep blue ink signature that displays without issue. A limited-edition offering serial numbered in the bottom left corner “616/1000”, an Upper Deck hologram is affixed on the reverse and is accompanied by a matching UDA COA. The card itself remains in excellent condition with only light wear touches to the corners seen with the naked eye.
