Perched upon the Blueshirts' blueline for almost two decades which included wearing the prominent "C" for three seasons, Brian Leetch won a pair of James Norris Trophies during his lengthy career along with the Conn Smythe, in 1994. This photo-matched Rangers alternate captain's jersey was worn by the star defender in 2000-01. A label with "56" sizing is affixed to the collar, with NHL and Koho crests over the bottom hem and reverse necklines respectively. Styled with “Rangers” placed diagonally across the chest in drop-shadow white and red tackle twill, “2” is sewn to the sleeves and verso in matching material, with “Leetch” across the affixed nameplate. The jersey also sports the Rangers 75th anniversary crest to the right shoulder. Game-wear is light on the jersey, with just a few game marks visible including to the front band. Getty Image #619856 (March 9, 2001) has been matched to the faint black mark on the upper white band of the left sleeve, while also visible on that image is the small white thread in the first ''R'' of Rangers and a small red thread on the ''2'' on the right sleeve. Two hardcopy photos of the image will also be included.
