A veteran of 13 National Hockey League seasons who was selected 127th overall by the New York Rangers in 2004, Ryan Callahan would play eight seasons in the Big Apple and serve as captain from the start of the 2011-12 season until his trade to Tampa in March 2014. Offered here, is this New York Rangers jersey worn by Callahan during the 2009-10 season. Made by Reebok and sporting a single size “56” label affixed to the inner collar, NHL and Reebok crests reside over the front and back necklines respectively. Styled with “Rangers” placed diagonally across the chest of the tie-neck garment in blue-over-red drop-shadow tackle twill letters, the distinguish alternate captain’s “A” has been sewn over the left breast. The sleeves and verso of the jersey have been accented with Callahan’s number “24” in matching style with “Callahan” arched across the affixed matching nameplate. Exhibiting good game-wear, a small number of stick marks are seen over the front, reverse and both sleeves while a pair of red paint transfers are seen near the left cuff. Board burns are seen over the right elbow and both shoulders while a large team repair is found at the right shoulder as well. Additionally, good pilling is found on the interior at the cuffs, elbows and lower reverse. Adding to its appeal, the jersey has been photo-matched with Getty Image #94995253 (December 17th, 2009 vs New York Islanders) to the team repair on the right shoulder. A MeiGray patch numbered “G03864” is sewn inside the reverse hem and according to their population report, the jersey is a “White Set 1 w/A” specimen. A matching LOA will accompany the piece.
