Accomplished by only seven (7) players in NHL history dating all the way back to 1917, Derek Stepan joined an exclusive club on October 9th, 2010 by becoming just the sixth player to register a hat trick in their debut and was also the first Rangers rookie to do so. Up for grabs here, is this Rangers jersey worn by the 51st overall pick in 2008 during the 2012-13 season. Made by Reebok, a size “56” flag tag is affixed to the collar, with a Rangers barcode affixed above along with a Steiner hologram while NHL and Reebok crests are found over the front and reverse necklines respectively. Styled with “Rangers” placed diagonally across the chest in blue-over-red drop-shadow tackle twill letters, the tie-neck garment has been accented over the sleeves and verso with Stepan’s number “21” in matching style while “Stepan” is spelt out across the affixed arched nameplate. A set four specimen according to the matching Steiner LOA that will accompany the piece, the jersey displays good game-wear through multiple dark stick marks over the sleeves and body as well as red board paint transfers over the front, left armpit and left shoulder, a small unrepaired cut near the right cuff and pilling on the interior. Additionally, the jersey is photo-matched with Getty Image #164829976 (March 28th, 2013 vs Ottawa) to the stick marks under the “R” in “Rangers” and over the right sleeve near the cuff.
