A two-time Stanley Cup champion as a member of the Tampa Bay Lightning in 2020 and 2021, Ryan McDonagh would play the first 516 games of his NHL career in the bright lights of Manhattan with the New York Rangers, leading the blueshirts an Eastern Conference Finals appearance in 2015. Offered here, is this photo-matched Rangers jersey worn by McDonagh during the 2015 Eastern Conference Quarterfinals versus the Pittsburgh Penguins. A Reebok made offering that sports a single size “58” tag affixed the inner collar that has a Steiner hologram affixed, a Rangers team inventory barcode is present above. Accented with both NHL shield and Reebok crests over the front and reverse necklines of the tie-neck garment respectively, the front has been decorated with “Rangers” going diagonally down the chest in blue-over-red drop shadow tackle twill letters that have been individually affixed while the distinguished captain’s “C” has been added in matching style over the left breast. Having had McDonagh’s number “27” sewn to the sleeves and verso with “McDonagh” spelt out arched across the affixed matching nameplate, “Round 1 2015” has been heat pressed over the fight strap on the interior. Worn for a total of two (2) games, the jersey exhibits wear via stick marks over the front, reverse and both sleeves as well as a board paint transfer over the front hem and a few board burns at the right elbow. Regarding the photo-matches, the jersey is matched with Getty Image #470485880 (April 20th, 2015 vs Pittsburgh – ECQF Game 3) to the stick marks directly to the right of the “7” on the right sleeve and to the stick mark in the bottom blue stripe at McDonagh’s right elbow. A matching Steiner LOA will accompany the piece.
