Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction June 2023
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/27/2023
A veteran of 13 National Hockey League seasons, selected 127th overall by the New York Rangers in 2004, Ryan Callahan would play eight seasons in the Big Apple and serve as captain from the start of the 2011-12 season until his trade to Tampa in March 2014. This Rangers captain's jersey was worn by Callahan in 2012-13. Made by Reebok and sporting a single size “56” label affixed to the inner collar with “2” handwritten for second set, there is also a bar code above, with NHL and Reebok crests residing over the front and back necklines respectively. Styled with “Rangers” placed diagonally across the chest of the tie-neck garment in drop-shadow tackle twill, the sleeves and verso have been accented with Callahan’s number “24” in matching style with “Callahan” arched across the affixed nameplate. The jersey exhibits light game-use with just a few washed-out marks to the front and sleeves. An LOA from Steiner will accompany.
