Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Winter 2023

Finishing fourth in team scoring, Yvan Cournoyer netted 68 points including 32 goals for the Habs in 1975-76, and added an additional 9 points in 13 playoff matches. The Canadiens completed the season in first place overall, losing only 11 games, and went on to defeat the Philadelphia Flyers four straight games in the Stanley Cup final. This stick used by Cournoyer during the 1975-76 NHL season has been team-signed by the Stanley Cup champion Canadiens. A Canadian model with "Yvan Cournoyer" and "12" factory graphics to the upper shaft, the original black tape to the blade and shaved handle is intact, with the striping accent gone. Exhibiting nice game use with wear to the taped section of blade and marks to the shaft, 16 have signed a shaved down side of the shaft in matching marker, including Cournoyer, Dryden, Savard, Risebrough, Shutt, Awrey, P. Mahovlich, Gainey, Robinson, Wilson and others. The signatures present nicely. An LOA from Classic Auctions will accompany.
