Sure to pique the interest of both collector and investor alike is this lot consisting of a modern hockey cards collection including rookie cards, signed cards, patches, imited-edition cards and inserts. Starting with the rookie cards, the group includes mostly 1990s and early-2000s examples from O-Pee-Chee Premier, Parkhurst, Topps, Score and Upper Deck with names such as Iginla, Jagr, Fedorov, Blake, Sundin, Mogilny, Roenick, Modano, Hasek, Forsberg, Bertuzzi, Raycroft, Bouwmeester, Bryzgalov, Luongo and Dupuis being featured, with additional better offerings from early-2000s Parkhurst releases including Rick Nash (“222/500”), Ilya Kovalchuk (“471/500”) and Henrik Zetterberg (“050/500”), both Kovalchuk and Zetterberg have had additional 2001-02 Parkhurst examples be slabbed by Beckett with both earning 9.5 GEM MINT marks with the reverses numbered “23/500” and “470/500” respectively. Not to be outdone, stars of the late-1990s and early-2000s dominate the group through inserts and numbered insert cards totalling approx. 75 and 150 each respectively while some legends of yesteryear are also found mixed in. Hailing from all the major company’s and releases, chased after cards of the era featuring names such as Lindros, Gomez, Jagr, Joseph, Potvin, Selanne, Iginla, Fedorov, Bourque, Modano, Messier, Bure, Kariya, Bondra, Hasek and Shanahan are observed as well as legends such as Orr, Hall, Cheevers and P. Esposito along with Topps reprint sets of Patrick Roy and Mario Lemieux. Ending this write up with coverage of the best of the bunch, memorabilia cards are found in the form of 2001-02 Parkhurst “500 Goal Scorers” examples of Bryan Trottier, Dino Ciccarelli, and Guy Lafleur, who has been graded by Beckett, receiving a grade of EX-MT 6. Other memorabilia examples include additional Parkhurst examples of Joe Sakic and Zigmund Palffy (x2 with one serial numbered “4/20” on the reverse and held in a BAP holder) as well as a Parkhurst triple jersey card of Lidstrom, Yzerman and Shanahan. Lastly, the autographs include a Parkhurst autograph of Steve Shutt and a group of six (6) 1999-2000 BAP Signature Series specimens with Adam Graves as the most notable name.
