One of the most storied franchises in all of sports and a member of the fabled Original Six, the Toronto Maple Leafs have enjoyed 104 seasons of existence, making the playoffs on 71 occasions and capturing Lord Stanley’s Cup 13 times. Offered here and featuring a bevy of blue and white HOFers, is this lot featuring eight (8) Toronto Maple Leafs hockey cards from 1954-55 to 1971-72 from the top brands such as Parkhurst, O-Pee-Chee and Topps that have all been graded by Beckett. Headlined by offerings that have earned NEAR MINT+ 7.5 designations are those of Frank Mahovlich and Tim Horton from Parkhurst’s 1962-63 release, which are followed up by two cards from the following season’s 1963-64 set being #65 Johnny Bower (Beckett EX-MT 6) and #77 Frank Mahovlich (Beckett EXCELLENT+ 5.5). An additional EXCELLENT+ 5.5 is featured in the form of #193 Darryl Sittler from the 1971-72 O-Pee-Chee release while the group is rounded out with VG-EX+ 4.5 slabbed examples of #16 Harry Lumley from 1954-55 Parkhurst and #81 Frank Mahovlich from 1965-66 Topps along with a G-VG 2.5 Sid Smith, also from Parkie’s 1954-54 rendition. All the Beckett holders remain in good condition with just light scratches worth noting.
