An intriguing and alluring ensemble of cards from Parkhurst’s 1995-96 set, offered here is this near complete set of four (4) cards as well as three (3) extra cards featuring images from the early career of the game’s greatest defenceman, Bobby Orr in the uniforms of the Oshawa Generals, Toronto Marlboros and Boston Bruins. Adding to their appeal, all cards have been signed by the 8x Norris Trophy winner, each exhibiting a fine black ink signature with all displaying well despite a couple showing light fading from age. With five (5) of the seven (7) examples having been graded by Beckett, two carry marks of NM-MT+ 8.5 with another two having been deemed worthy of NM-MT 8 designations. The last has been slabbed with a NEAR MINT 7 grade. Also graded are the autographs that Orr has penned over the front, with three (3) perfect 10’s observed as well as one (1) 9 and one (1) 8. The two ungraded cards remain in the condition range of NM or better with the autographs displaying without issues. Each autographed offering is hand serial numbered on the reverse out of 500 with the cards present here numbered “294/500”, “278/500”, “389/500”, “289/500” “248/500” “355/500” and “094/500” respectively. All the Beckett holders remain in good condition with only light scratches and/or scuffs worth noting. Also included with the lot is a complete 1995-96 Parkhurst ’66-67 Super Rookie unsigned set of Orr with all five cards featuring the same images as the signed cards and remaining in NM or better condition as well as a complete 6-card Bobby Orr subset from 1991-92 Score that also all remain in NM or better condition.
