Drafted 3rd overall by the New Jersey Devils in 1991, Scott Niedermayer played 892 of his 1263 National Hockey League games in Newark, helping the Devils to three (3) Stanley Cups. Offered here, is this pair of skates worn by Niedermayer during the 1997-98 season. CCM Tacks 752 models that each sport a hand written “0” with a line through it on the bottom of the blade holder in black ink, stickers reading “Miller”, the last name of our consignor, have been affixed to the bottom as well with our consignor stating they were placed by the Devils equipment staff after he acquired them and that he wore them a few times after the fact. Riddled with puck marks, scuffs, cuts and abrasions throughout the blade holders, toe caps and boots, red sock lint is found on the inside of the tongue on each skate as well. Red coloured microfiber blade covers are included and are found over each blade with the backs of both having ripped on the bottom, one worse than the other. Regarding the photo-matches, the skates have been matched with Getty Image #383597 (December 2nd, 1997 vs St. Louis) to numerous marks on the inside of the right skate and outside of the left skate plus blade holder.
