Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Spring 2023
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 5/3/2023
Officiating his first National Hockey League contest on October 1st, 1979 between the Buffalo Sabres and Washington Capitals, Mark Pare would spend over 30 years keeping the peace on the ice, donning the stripes for an incredible of 2172 games. Offered here, is this linesman jersey worn by Pare during the 1991-92 season. In the familiar black and white striped colour scheme, Maska and size “48” labeling is affixed to the inner collar while the CCM and NHL logos have been embroidered into the rear hem. Decorated over the left breast with an embroidered twill NHL shield crest, the league’s 75th anniversary patch has been sewn to the right sleeve with “Pare” spelt out in single layer white twill letters across the affixed black twill nameplate. Remaining in good condition despite some light spotting and staining throughout, light pilling from use is seen on the interior. Additionally, Pare has signed the upper back with a black ink signature that displays well with just a small amount of fading from age.
