Holder of the record for most fighting majors in NHL history, Tie Domi also holds the distinction of being the Maple Leafs all-time leader in penalty minutes with 2265 in 777 games played with the blue and white. Hailing from the mid-1990s, is this stick used by Domi early in his tenure with the Maple Leafs. A Sher-Wood PMPX 9950 model used during both the 1995-96 and 1996-97 seasons, “Domi 28” is stamped over the upper shaft. Domi’s original tape job of blue-cloth-over-white resides over the handle/knob while the black blade tape has been removed at some point to facilitate Tie’s black ink signature on the forehand side with the autograph still displaying well. Featuring a piece of tape with a “1996” annotation affixed to the back of the upper shaft just below the end of the handle tape and a stamp on the underside of the lower shaft reading “1839”, the stick shows good game-use through numerous marks/abrasions to the shaft, lower shaft, heel and blade while the NHL accent sticker remains intact. Of note, black tape residue is seen on the underside of the blade with chipping to the wood on the top side.
