The first European goaltender to lead the NHL in GAA, Dominik Hasek earned considerable awards and accolades throughout his HOF career, and sports the highest career saves percentage in history. A six-time Vezina winner, Hasek also hoisted the Stanley Cup with Detroit in 2002 and 2008. Hailing from that memorable 2001-02 season that ended in hoisting Lord Stanley’s Cup, offered here is this stick used by “The Dominator”. A Louisville TPS model, “Hasek” appears stamped on the upper shaft, with the stick retaining its original while tape job over the blade, paddle and knob. Displaying a stamp reading "2071 D" near the bottom of the shaft, heavy game-use is shown with wear to the taped section of blade along with numerous marks, abrasions, chips and areas of paint transfer throughout the shaft and paddle as well. Of note, a crack is observed at the toe of the blade and extends to under the tape while a chip/dent is felt under the tape at the top edge of the heel. Approx. 29 have signed the stick throughout the forehand side including Hasek, Lewis (Assistant Coach), Kocur (Video Coach), Bowman (Coach), McCarty, Larionov, Kuznetsov, Hull, Datsyuk, Olausson, Maltby, Gilchrist, Draper, Fischer, Avery, Holmstrom, Duchesne, Boyer (Equipment Manager), Shanahan, Lidstrom, Dandenault, Devereaux, Van Zant (Asst. Athletic Therapist), Robitaille, Chelios, Fedorov, Yzerman, Legace and one that isn’t identified. Signed in black ink, all the autographs appear strong and legible. A Classic Auctions LOA will accompany.
