Two of the greatest players to ever grace the ice of the National Hockey League despite their very different career lengths, Bobby Orr and Gordie Howe would win everything they possibly could at the respective during their careers, with both men representing Canada at the international level and being inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame after hanging up their skates. Offered here, is this collection of Parkhurst, O-Pee-Chee and Topps picturing Orr and Howe that date between 1960-61 and 1977-78 totalling thirteen (13). Starting with the Orr cards, making up seven (7) of the thirteen (13) cards in the lot, the section includes a KSA graded example of Bobby's 4th year card from 1969-70 Topps that has earned a mark of VGE 4 for its effort while a PSA slabbed copy of Orr's popular 1970-71 O-Pee-Chee All-Star card has been deemed worthy of an EX 5 designation. For the raw cards, two (2) more copies of his 1970-71 OPC All-Star card are included, viewed as being in GOOD (light crease and top right corner crease) and EX to EX-MT (light bottom left corner fuzz) conditions while his 1970-71 OPC Hart (#246) and Art Ross (#249) Trophy cards are also present, displaying in FR to G and FR conditions due to water damage warping and staining on the front respectively.
For the Howe cards, the group is paced by KSA graded offerings from 1960-61 Parkhurst (card #20 - KSA VG 3), 1970-71 O-Pee-Chee (card #238 - All-Star - KSA VGE 4) and 1977-78 O-Pee-Chee WHA (card #1 - 1000 goals - KSA NM+ 7.5). For the raw cards, a 1969-70 O-Pee-Chee "Mr. Hockey" card is included, found in the range of VG to VG-EX with wear in the form of corner wear and a wax stain while the final two cards include a 1971-72 O-Pee-Chee All-Star specimen around the neighbourhood of EX to EX-MT and a 1971-72 O-Pee-Chee "Mr. Hockey" seen as GOOD due to multiple light creases.
It must be noted that the grading standards followed by KSA may not correspond to those currently employed by PSA, BGS or SGC. The outcome of an attempted cross-over of this piece through any of those services, then, would be uncertain and cannot be guaranteed.
