The leader of the 1958-59 Topps hockey pack, card #66 of Bobby Hull is once again the standout of the bunch this time headlining this near complete set of Topps’ third hockey release. Having recently come back from grading at PSA, the card picturing a young teenage Hull with his dusty blonde hair, has earned a mark of VG 3 after inspection and encapsulation. Near complete with 54 out of 66 cards present, the included specimens display in the condition range of G/VG to VG-EX with some lesser examples present including those of Jerry Toppazzini and Al Arbour who both have had holes punched into them. Featuring many that show corner/edge wear, creases and surface wear just to name a couple of the observed issues found throughout the group, key names such as Sawchuk, Howe, Shack (RC) and Worsley fall in the condition vicinity of VG while others including issues of Glenn Hall, Johnny Bucyk and Ted Lindsay fall in the range of G/VG while sporting some of the defected noted above. Missing 12 cards with the full list being 1-Armstrong, 3-Skov, 7-Hanna, 28-Popein, 33-LaForge, 34-Gadsby, 37-Balfour, 38-Mortson, 50-Mohns, 52-Delvecchio, 62-McKenney and 65-Ullman, a group of six (6) extras of cardboard already present are included including additional examples of 5-St. Laurent, 6-Lewicki, 36-Pilote, 44-Simmons, 53-Nesterenko and 55-Ferguson. All are in low-grade poor condition with many having had holes punched in them like the two examples noted earlier on. A fun trip back to the days of the Original Six, don’t let these pass you by.
