Born in England but raised in British Columbia, and earning the fitting nickname “Lord Byron”, Byron Dafoe was a Calder Cup champion in the AHL and was drafted by Washington, in 1989. Dafoe would backstop four different clubs during his time in the NHL, and we offer a glove used by the netminder with the Boston Bruins during the 1998-99 season. A Vaughn Vision T2200 model in the Bruins black, white and yellow colourway, 5-point stars decorate the wrist and pocket of the catching glove, “Dafoe” is embroidered into the back of the wrist along with the Vaughn logo. With all straps and laces intact, the glove shows good use via numerous puck marks along with scuffs and abrasions to the material around the wrist and pocket area. Additionally, the glove has been photo-matched with Getty Image #1302531355 (January 9th, 1999 vs Toronto) to many of the puck marks seen over the wrist and pocket of the glove.
