A four-time NHL All-Star, Alex Kovalev earned MVP honours in the 2009 contest, scoring a pair of goals along with a goal in the shootout. From his first of two seasons in the nation's capital, where he would score his 400th career goal, we have a Senators jersey worn by the superstar in 2009-10 when he scored his first Senators goal on October 10th, 2009. A CCM label with “58” sizing is affixed to the collar, with NHL and Reebok crests to the front and reverse necklines respectively. Styled with the multi-coloured and textured Senators team crest that witnessed use from 2007 until 2020, “27" is sewn to the sleeves and verso in layered tackle twill, with matching alternate crests situated over each shoulder. A few marks to the sleeves are visible along with a clump of team repairs to the lower left sleeve, with an additional repair beneath the number, while the right sleeve shows a pair of team repairs. Getty Image #96556441 (Feb 4, 2010) appears to show the team repair within the white section near the elbow on the right sleeve, but the image is not decisive enough to call a definitive photo-match. A MeiGray patch numbered "G06902" is affixed to the inside hem, and according to the company's population report, the jersey is a "Red Set 1" specimen. An LOA from the Ottawa Senators will accompany.
