Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Winter 2023

The first overall pick in 2002, Rick Nash would register 38 points in 67 games played during his fifth season with the Blueshirts in 2016-17, helping the Rangers to an appearance in the Eastern Conference Semi-Finals during the 2017 playoffs. Offered here from the 2016-17 pre-season, we offer this New York Rangers jersey worn by Rick Nash. Sporting a size “56” label affixed to the inner collar below a Rangers team barcode, crests for the NHL and Reebok decorate the front and reverse necklines of the tie-neck garment respectively. Styled over the front with the familiar “Rangers” diagonally in drop shadow blue-over-red layered tackle twill letters, Nash’s number “61” appears over the sleeves and verso in matching style while “Nash” is spelt out arched across the top of the back on the affixed matching nameplate. Worn in just one pre-season road contest, the jersey shows no only very light game wear along with a couple small liquid stains not associated with game use. Of note, evidence of an alternate captain’s “A” that has been removed can be seen over the left breast. Both Fanatics and Steiner holograms are affixed to the labels of the inner collar, with the Fanatics verification stating the jersey is a “Rick Nash New York Rangers Game-Used #61 White Jersey from the 2016-17 NHL Preseason - Size 56” specimen while the Steiner one is accompanied by a matching LOA.
