Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Winter 2023
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/28/2023
The late, great Bobby Hull and his coveted rookie card headlines this gathering of 1958-59 Topps cards, with famous card #66 not marred by unsightly creasing, but lowered to GOOD 2 in part due to a roughed-up bottom right corner that exhibits some paper loss. Small peripheral (corner) creases are also present, while the contingent of raw cards features mostly crease-free examples in the VG-EX to EX+ range, with small percentages better/worse and an overall average of EX to report. Keys include 8-Howe (VG-EX+ (OC)) and Sawchuk (VG-EX), with 3-Shack RC (otherwise VG-EX) and 13 others (39-Worsley, 52-Delvecchio) exhibiting a wax or gum stain on the back. Bobby’s desirable rookie and a decent mid-grade batch await the high bidder here.
