This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/28/2023
A classic Saturday night matchup on February 23rd, 2019 between the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Montreal Canadiens once again renewed one of hockey’s best rivalry’s as the Leafs were able to overcome a three goal deficit, potting six unanswered goals split between the 2nd and 3rd periods to skate away with a 6-3 win on home ice. Offered here is the puck that Zach Hyman used to score the Leafs 4th goal of the game and ultimately the game-winning goal for his 12th of the season and 41st of his career. Coming at 18:10 of the 3rd period, the goal would feature a lone assist from Mitch Marner, which would be the young star’s 200th career NHL point. The “Official Game Puck” sports a Leafs logo on the obverse with the NHL shield featured on the opposite side. Tape has been added along the side that has “TOR 4 - #11 – 3Per VS MTL – Feb 23/19” handwritten, with a hologram from the Leafs also having been affixed. Exhibiting good game-use, the puck shows surface wear and abrasions over both sides. The puck will come in a Leafs holder with the particulars all listed on an accompanying COA.
Additionally, the puck has been signed on the front by Mitch Marner in gold under the Leafs logo, with Marner adding “200 NHL Point” above in matching gold ink, with both the autograph and inscription displaying without issue. An AJ Sportsworld hologram is affixed to the reverse side.
