Enjoying a 13-year National Hockey League career after going undrafted, Dan Girardi spent 11 seasons in the uniform of the New York Rangers, helping lead the Blueshirts to an appearance in the 2014 Stanley Cup Finals. Offered here, is this Rangers jersey worn by Girardi during games 3 and 4 of the 2014 Stanley Cup Finals at Madison Square Garden. Made by Reebok, a size “58” flag tag is affixed to the collar, with a Rangers barcode affixed above along with a Steiner hologram while NHL and Reebok crests are found over the front and reverse necklines respectively. Styled with “Rangers” placed diagonally across the chest in red-over-white drop-shadow tackle twill along with the distinguished alternate captain’s “A” over the left breast, the all-important Stanley Cup Finals patch resides over the left shoulder, along with a fabric patch of the same shape and size as the patches were moved after initially being sewn down. Girardi’s number “5” has been sewn to the sleeves and verso in matching material with “Girardi” across the affixed arching nameplate. Worn for just two games, the jersey shows no distinguishable game-wear and remains in beautiful condition. Additionally, the jersey has been photo-matched with Getty Image #450775092 (June 9th, 2014 vs Los Angeles – Stanley Cup Finals Game 3) to the placement of the Stanley Cup Finals patch on the left shoulder and the loose seam thread right underneath. A matching Steiner LOA will accompany the piece.
