Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Winter 2023

Always high in demand are both Ken Dryden rookie cards and the legendary goalie’s autograph, with thus a captivating and inviting piece to consider here. Also to contemplate is the minuscule amount of signed rookie cards in existence compared to unsigned examples. We would say a difficult-to-ask-for-nicer blue ballpoint pen autograph graces the lower part of Ken’s 1971-72 O-Pee-Chee RC here and as you can see, “To Gerry” is penned to the left of the six-time Stanley Cup champion’s iconic mask. Also to note is the side-to-side apparent scotch tape stain through the middle, with a smidgeon of paper loss near the middle of the right edge, as well as a partially-removed wax stain on the reverse that displays as toning. In otherwise VG-EX condition with no creases, it’s the likes of which comes along very infrequently. You’ll be admiring Dryden’s desirable and stellar signature, along with his image, when this scarcity is delivered.
