With Jean Beliveau leading the club in both points and penalty minutes, the Montreal Canadiens finished behind arch nemesis Detroit in 1956-57, and met the Boston Bruins in the Stanley Cup finals. With the series going just five games, the Beantowners were no match for the mighty Canadiens, with this the Habs second of five consecutive championships. This panoramic photo features the Stanley Cup champion Montreal Canadiens. Most likely by Famous Studios, the 8" x 19" period print pictures the full squad and coach Toe Blake in the traditional team pose including Plante, Richard, Beliveau, Harvey, Moore and others. The clarity is especially crisp and the condition is ideal, with the photo in beautiful condition. Accompanying the image, there is a circa 1960s 5" x 8" photo of Beliveau.
