Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction December 2022

Despite an American leading the scoring (Phil Kessel) and a Russian earning MVP honours (Evgeni Malkin), Team Canada still managed to win gold at the 2006 IIHF World Junior Tournament in BC, with the always powerful Russians defeated in the final. Toronto Maple Leafs draft selection Justin Pogge backstopped the Canadians through all six games and led in save percentage, and we offer a signed stick used by the Fort McMurray native during the tournament. A Rbk 6K Premier model with “J Pogge” stamped, the original white tape remains over the blade and handle/knob, with a date stamp to the underside of “11 Jan 2006”. Great game-use is shown with numerous puck marks to the taped blade and a few additional marks to the paddle and shaft. Pogge has added a black marker signature to the lower paddle.
